I was born in Trenton, NJ, and grew up in a little town called Morrisville, PA. It’s the little town that George Washington started from when he crossed the Delaware River.
I grew up playing accordion and drums in grade school and high school. Later on it was great to learn to play keyboards, and a little bit of guitar.
I started composing music back in the 70’s. I must admit those songs back then were not that good. It was not until the late 80’s when I got my first Casio keyboard that I was able to get more creative. I have to laugh at those old tapes with that keyboard. It sounded like a wind up monkey banging on a tin can, with an organ grinder. The melodies were there but the sound was not.
I had a number of guys come over the house to jam, but no one really was interested in trying to create anything new. Most of those jam sessions were spent playing old Beatles, Stones, and Eagles tunes. Don’t get me wrong they are great tunes, but I wanted to create something different. A different sound, and songs that when you got done listening to them, the melody would stick in your mind.
Well, I moved down to North Carolina a few years ago. I got myself some better equipment and keyboards and have really worked hard on getting the songs down. My main goal is to touch a few lives in this world with my music. If you come away from any song of mine and enjoyed it, then tell GOD THANKS FOR THE MELODY. I could not have done it without him.
